Whitney Pier Group Society is a Not-For-Profit society incorporated on August 25, 2004, under the Societies Act of Nova Scotia.
The Murals celebrate what life was like in Whitney Pier. The Steel Plant was the main reason of Sydney's existence from 1900 to 1990. The murals bring to life for current generations how our families lived their lives.

Volunteers are the heart of our organization. If interested in helping out, please use the contact form.
Whitney Pier Group Society works hard each year to access funding to carry out its activities. We sell draw tickets, t-shirts, license plates, apply to government programs, and hold bar-b-q's. We approach organizations and businesses to become partner sponsors. Each year individuals make donations to the Society. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.
Your business or organization has the opportunity to support the efforts of the Whitney Pier Group Society. Our attendees come from all parts of the CBRM. They know our sponsors.
